Water Loss Investigations Trainee: Active Leak Detection Survey Assistant

Leak Search is based in Bunbury WA and conducts water loss investigations throughout Western Australia. We are seeking a person who has had previous experience in ALD surveys, utility locating technology and is prepared to travel at short notice to any destination in WA.
Our prime focus is on locating water loss in utility mains, and we require a person who can demonstrate some of the following attributes:

• Previous experience with locating technology and Nulca utility location procedures
• Dedication to safety and quality work, as we are working along road alignments
• Cooperation in adhering to QA systems and on site procedures/guidelines
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Observation skills, recording detail, the ability to gather evidence to prove a correct result and not make assumptions
• There is some manual digging involved potholing

Desirable qualifications and experience:

• Blue or white card
• HR licence
• Traffic management
• Acoustic water loss technologies
• Telstra location approval (Copper - Fibre optic)
• Operation of GPR
• Operation of EMF
• Operation of NDD
• Computer Skills

Health:  Leak Search has a zero alcohol and drugs policy. Good general fitness is required as the work involves considerable walking, plus excellent hearing is required for the electronic listening devices.

Training: Ongoing training will be given to people who can display a suitable technical ability in utility service background.

A salary package commensurate with experience:
Vehicle, phone and bonus system will be provided to the right person after a suitable qualifying period.
